This past Saturday we attended the "Basset Shuffle" which raises money for the North Texas Basset Hound Rescue Inc. http://www.bassetrescuedfw.org/ Robynn and I raised over $200.00 many thanks to our co-workers, friends, and family who donated.
North Texas Basset Hound Rescue, Inc. is organized for the following purposes: Prevent cruelty to animals, specifically basset hounds; Support animal welfare by locating and retrieving homeless, unwanted and/or mistreated basset hounds; Provide necessary funding for medical care, spaying and neutering, for unwanted and/or mistreated basset hounds; and Place homeless, unwanted, and or mistreated.

Camaro time...

Well as it begins to cool down a tad, I think I am going to start working on the Camaro again. Man i got a lot to do...

Yes it's a classic and it doubles as a shelf for my hockey jerseys...
How many remember what this stands for?
Out with the old...
Spaghetti mess!
In with the new.!

Figuered I need to get this going again and knock the dust off of it.

Mr. Melvin, Indy tickets and Hunter the mechanic!

Here is the newest member of the family... "MELVIN". I got to name this pup so I was going to name him Mel after CozuMEL [one of my favorite places to go!] but Mr. Melvin is a better fit.

The introduction...

Melvin is alot like us he likes to nap!

He doesn't have to turn off the lights with ears like those!

Interesting place for a nap...

So cute!

We also got our tickets for the Brickyard 400 in July! We can't wait, such historic place to go see first hand!

Also began teaching Hunter how to work on cars since we all know his dad has no clue! [lol, just kidding but really admit it you got no clue Ernie!] After being a tool gopher while I put a wheel bearing on Candice's [Hunters mom] car he wanted to "do work". So I let him tighten the wheel. And before you ask I did torque the wheels down after him! You know he is Ernie's kid though he needed gloves, didn't want to get dirty!

Trying to remember the pattern I showed him.

A job well done!

Just by picking up that 4-way he has more automotive knowledge than his dad!
